Dailey Precast Continues Expertise with Residential Wrap Projects
Dailey Precast has provided precast concrete components for several residential wrap projects throughout the Northeast, in which the parking structure is put in place first and then a multi-family residential building is “wrapped” around the structure to yield the most efficient use of space on a limited amount of land. The exterior of the residences adds design value to the neighborhood, while the mostly-enclosed parking structure provides a solution for storing many cars effectively while keeping them under cover and in close proximity to their owners.
Precast Wrap Project, Framingham, MA
Outside of Boston, in Framingham, MA, we provided the precast parking garage for the Alta Union House, a modern apartment complex. The photos on this page are all of that project.
Precast Wrap Project, Lowell, MA
One of our recent wrap projects — for which we have video links below to show the project under construction — is The Residences at Cross Point Towers in Lowell, MA, a project of SMC Construction. We completed our precast work and the erection phase of the project earlier this year, and now the residences are under construction, being built around the parking structure (the “wrap”). Here are three videos that show this project in different phases:
- Video made with Dailey Precast’s modeling software, demonstrating our plan to have the project erected, piece by piece.
- Video from November 2018 showing of some of the early precast components being set into place.
- Recent video from September 2019 showing the ongoing construction of residences around the precast parking structure.
